Benefits Specialist

Our client in Arlington, Texas is seeking two Benefits Specialists for a 1-2 month project to aid in transferring patient and insurance data from an old EMR system to a new one. This position focuses on ensuring accurate migration of data with a strong background in benefits verification.

Responsibilities:

• Transfer patient registration, insurance details, and referral information between systems
• Review migrated data for accuracy and consistency
• Apply knowledge of insurance and benefits structures to categorize and map information correctly
• Identify and resolve discrepancies to minimize errors in the new EMR system
• Support a seamless transition with a focus on accuracy, security, and compliance

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred
• 1-3 years of experience in medical offices or insurance-related roles, with a focus on benefits verification
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMRs), data entry, and general office systems
• Familiarity with medical terminology, insurance benefits, and referral documentation
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and maintain accuracy in fast-paced environments

1-3 years of medical office or insurance-related work, with specific exposure to benefits verification. Comfort with electronic medical records (EMRs), data entry, and general office systems.
