Job Overview:
The Associate receives produce & raw foods, assembles, ships, labels, and/or packages foods to customers using manual assembly and IT equipment. This role must follow all safety and health standards.
This is a Temp to Hire position, which means that you must be available for the entire job each week with the expectation that you may be offered a full time job at the end of the assignment. Please do NOT accept if you do not think you will be available to attend all shifts each week for the next 3+ months.
Before starting or attending a shift, WorkWhile will review your interview notes and confirm a firm start date. By accepting a FreshRealm shift, you’ll be required to complete specific document signings and training mandated by FreshRealm. WorkWhile will coordinate with FreshRealm and you to schedule your start accordingly.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive foods, assemble Meal kits to recipe specifications, ship kits following Good Manufacturing Practices, and meet health and safety standards.
Works on a limited number of food areas, lines, processes, or items. Work is relatively routine from week to week
May regularly operate standard conveyor belts or multiple pieces of essential equipment (approximately 30% of total equipment).
Package meal kits following prescribed processes and procedures. Deviation from normal processes must be approved.
Rotate and check food ingredients for freshness. May receive products and ensure the accuracy of the delivery.
Keep work areas/assembly clean, demonstrating clean-as-you-go practices.
May be required to complete essential paperwork related to food preparation, packaging, or labeling.
Required to follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) as prescribed.
In coordination with the team lead, identifies issues with Product, Food Safety, Quality, or Equipment and escalates matters to other departments or higher levels when needed.
May be required to perform other duties as assigned.
May be asked to help in other departments. Please be prepared to move around within the warehouse
Heavy Lifters (up to 49lbs) needed for Inventory Control. Will be palletizing and working in the warehouse.
Bilingual Spanish is highly preferred!
Must be able to speak/read English, able to learn how to use/use a scan gun, must be able to count and understand quantities, lift bins of at least 20 lbs and wrap pallets and move them with a pallet jack.
Cell phone use permitted when clocking in/out. You may store your cell phone in a cubbie or locker at the facility.
