Academic Collaborater/Research Advisor III

Description: We are looking for a Research Assistant to help support qualitative and quantitative research projects happening at Meta focused on generative AI.
The research assistant will perform such tasks as moderating sessions, coding open-ended survey data, literature reviews, analyzing interview transcripts, and assisting with a range of qualitative and quantitative studies. The right candidates will have strong attention to detail, be excellent communicators, and have a passion for research.

Job Responsibilities:
Moderate remote and in-person research sessions
Conduct searches and research reviews
Read and process academic articles and research reports
Qualitatively code various materials (e.g., articles, open-ended responses)
Help summarize major findings (preferred: utilization of programming or statistical skills to help summarize findings)
Assist in survey writing, data collection, data cleaning, and analysis
Support researchers and prepare materials as needed for research project purposes
Skills:
Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and manage one s time
Knowledge of project management methodologies and project tracking is a plus
Ability to collaborate with stakeholders and to interpret and communicate research findings and insights
Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel
Preferred experience:
Experience in an academic research lab
Reading and reviewing academic publications and writing literature reviews
Coding open-ended survey data
Cleaning survey data
Piloting surveys and/or cognitive testing
Coding interview transcripts
Assisting with running social science lab studies
Basic programming and/or statistical skills
Education:
B.A. / B.S. in psychology, sociology, communication, linguistics, political science, science and technology studies, HCI, or related field
