GEODynamics in Millsap, TX is looking for qualified candidates for Tool & Die Machinist. Our campus is on the frontage road of Interstate 20 near Millsap, TX. Located west of Fort Worth, it is an easy commute from surrounding communities of Weatherford, Stephenville, Mineral Wells and Aledo.

KEY ACCOUNTBILITIES

• Work from blueprints and sketches to create or modify tools, dies, jigs and molds.
• Analyzes specifications, lays out metal stock, sets up as well as operates machine tools.
• Fits and assembles parts to fabricate and repair metal working dies, cutting tools, jigs & fixtures, gauges and machinists hand tools.
• Apply knowledge of tool & die design construction, shop mathematics, metal properties and layout, machining and assembly procedures.
• Studies specifications, such as blueprints, sketches, models or descriptions.
• Visualizes product to define materials and required machines to be used to fabricate parts.
• Setup and operates machine tools such as lathes, milling machine, shaper and/or grinder to machine parts

QUALIFICAITONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE

• High School Diploma or Equivalency.
• Journeyman's License in Tool and Die preferred.
• 1 - 3 years of experience with Tool & Die/manual machining.
• Good attention to detail.
• Basic Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
