Manpower Engineering is exclusively partnering with a well-established, very reputable, and growing company in Waukesha, WI on a highly visible and direct hire/permanent Sr. Structural Project Engineer, P.E. position that’s available due to continued growth and has very strong advancement potential. The VP plans to retire in approximately 3 years and the President in 7 so they’re open to those that are looking to remain in a technical position or also someone that may have an interest in getting into a leadership position.

They’re a specialized structural engineering with a focus on low-rise, commercial buildings. Our client provides services nationwide and encompass design, drafting, and investigative engineering for a diverse clientele, including architects, contractors, and insurance professionals. JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Summary

We are seeking a Sr. Structural Project Engineer, P.E. to join our team. The ideal candidate will coordinate with the drafting staff to design and analyze structural components, review detailed drawings, and collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure project success.

Responsibilities:
 
  • Develop structural designs and calculations for low-rise commercial and industrial buildings.
  • Coordinate with drafting staff who will create the detailed drawings and specifications using CAD and BIM software.
  • Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and support investigative engineering efforts.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure design integrity and compliance with codes.
  • Review construction documents, review of shop drawings and product submittals.
  • Provide technical support during construction phases and address any structural issues that arise. 

Qualifications:
 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • 4-5+ years of structural engineering experience. Experience with low-rise commercial buildings is a plus.
  • Experience with investigative engineering and forensic analysis.
  • Experience with building codes and industry standards is a plus.
  • Familiarity with metal building systems and retrofitting techniques is a plus.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software. Familiarity with Risa 3D, Enercalc and Woodworks is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
