Simulator Maintenance Manager
The Simulator Maintenance Manager for the Advanced Helicopter Training System (AHTS) program will ensure the Flight Training Devices used by the Navy are maintained to the highest standard and are available to support scheduled student training. At GDIT you will be at the forefront of simulation technology supporting the successful training of Naval Helicopter Pilots.

HOW A SIMULATOR MAINTENANCE MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Interfacing with our customer, you will proactively manage our staff of technicians to support Scheduled Navy Training.
- Interface with the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and our customer to determine whether FTD components are replaced, repaired or sent back to the OEM.
- Manage our workforce so that FTD maintenance exceeds standards and are available to support training.
- Manage tools, sets, kits and outfits used by GDIT technicians to make simulator repairs.
- Manage bench stock, repair parts, and test equipment.
- By proactively managing the work force you will ensure a high level of customer and employee satisfaction.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent years of experience or technical training.
- Required Experience:
- 3 years in a managerial or supervisory position leading a naval aircraft maintenance organization integrating maintenance, quality control;
- At least one-year minimum as a Maintenance or Production Control Supervisor;
- Ten (10) or more years progressively responsible experience providing aircraft maintenance and material support to NAMP standards.
- Required Technical Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of the Military Aviation Maintenance Programs.
- Strong understanding of aircraft avionics maintenance.
- Strong leadership skills with ability to manage a diverse workforce.
- Ability to respond rapidly and sufficiently to changing requirements, unexpected contingencies and other challenging situations.
- Ability to manage available resources in time sensitive situations.
- Advanced Knowledge of Computer Networks and visual projection systems.
- Familiarity with office computers and software.
- Effective leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with personnel at all organizational levels.

- Ability to work under pressure and continuously meet deadlines.
- Ability to lift heavy objects.
- Ability to work early mornings, late nights and weekends as required.
