Position: Security Shift Supervisor

Location: Toronto, ON, CA

Pay Rate: $21.63/hour

Employment Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Continental Days (07:00 – 19:00)

About the Site

The Forensic Services and Coroner’s Complex (FSCC) is a state-of-the-art facility replacing the 35-year-old site near Yonge and College. It houses the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service, the Office of the Chief Coroner, and the Centre of Forensic Sciences. This innovative 50,000 sq. meter complex supports advanced forensic investigations and provides a modern work environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate duties of 3–8 guards per shift.
• Act as principal contact on the site security phone, delegating tasks as needed.
• Respond to all emergency incidents (Police/Fire/Ambulance).
• Review incident reports and daily logs.
• Inspect and monitor personnel for professionalism and compliance.
• Train new and existing staff (remedial training as required).
• Enforce all site policies and procedures.
• Assist employees, visitors, and clients to ensure a safe and secure environment.
• Resolve conflicts and make quick, effective decisions under pressure.

Requirements

Must-Have Qualifications

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
• Valid WSIB Approved Standard First Aid and CPR Level C.
• Minimum 2 years of security or relevant experience.
• English fluency (oral and written).
• Certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB), or willingness to complete Paladin’s training program before onboarding. (Training costs covered with 6-month commitment; training time unpaid.)

Nice to Have

• Police Foundations Diploma.
• Tech-savvy and comfortable with technology.
