Seasonal Communications Technician
Job Summary: The job of the Seasonal Communications Technician at Six Flags New England is to assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of communication systems throughout our facility. This role is ideal for someone with an interest in telecommunications, data networking, audio, or alarm systems. While experience is preferred, we are willing to train the right candidate. This position is accountable for delivering a superior Guest experience, while enforcing all park policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of phone, sound, alarm, data, and other communication systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with communication equipment.
- Perform routine inspections to ensure system functionality and reliability.
- Work with a team to support operational needs across the facility.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Taking ownership of job and pride in the area
- Acting professionally at all times
- Enforcing all Six Flags New England policies
- Assisting in other areas of the Maintenance Department
- Performing other incidental and related duties as required and assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
- At least 18 years of age
- Experience in telecommunications, data networking, audio, or alarm systems preferred, but not required.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Willingness to work in outside weather conditions to include extreme temperatures, wet and humid weather
- Willingness to learn; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Basic knowledge of wiring, cabling, and low-voltage systems is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Other Functions: All other duties assigned or necessary to support the park as a whole.
