Role Purpose Statement

The primary responsibility is to oversee and maintain LSG Sky Chefs' Global Quality System to ensure the Customer Service Center (CSC) remains in full compliance with customer requirements, as well as regulatory standards set by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), and Seafood Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) plans. This includes adherence to all USDA and FDA regulations to uphold the highest quality and food safety standards.

Main Accountabilities

• Maintain and manage all recordkeeping and key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to the Quality Department and Global Quality System (GQS), including but not limited to Food Safety, Sanitation, Regulatory Compliance (County Health, State Health Department, FDA), internal customers (LHI), and airline customers.
• Monitor Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) daily to ensure compliance.
• Verify cooler and freezer room temperatures to meet regulatory and company standards.
• Conduct environmental swabs and microbiological sampling, ensuring timely submission to local laboratories for analysis.
• Collect and assess Chef Table samples to verify compliance with specifications.
• Assist the Quality Manager with training initiatives and daily efforts to enhance quality, food safety, and sanitation processes.
• Perform workstation inspections to ensure adherence to standards, including gold standard verification, specifications, sanitizer usage, food temperatures, HACCP documentation, and PHF setup.
• Conduct portion control weight checks to ensure compliance with specifications.
•  Perform inspection checks across various areas, including dispatch, galley, bonded/non-bonded areas, and equipment.
• Verify the accuracy and completion of HACCP logs and other required documentation on a daily basis.
•  Develop and maintain charts, trending reports, training materials, and visual aids to support compliance and continuous improvement efforts.
• Monitor and train employees on Regulated Garbage Standards to ensure compliance with USDA requirements.
• Provide oversight and support to Jump-off (commissary) locations as needed.
• Deliver training sessions for hourly employees as required.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

·  High School Diploma or equivalent required.

·  Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

·  Proficient in computer skills and basic software applications, including Microsoft Office; ability to create and maintain trending charts, SOPs, and utilize essential tools such as calculators, weight scales, thermometers, metal detectors, ATP testing equipment, and mechanical food portioning and processing equipment.

·  Previous experience in the food industry and quality assurance is a plus.

·  Ability to work in cold environments (below 40°F).

·  Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal to no supervision and serve as a liaison for the Supervisor when needed.

·  Strong problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, verbal, written, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

·  Capable of lifting/pushing a minimum of 25 lbs.

·  Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with large teams.

·  Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.
