Position Summary

As a Patient Watch Guard, you will be responsible for monitoring patients who may present a danger to themselves or others, ensuring the safety, security, and confidentiality of all stakeholders. This position requires professionalism, excellent communication, and the ability to respond calmly in high-stress situations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient safety and report changes to hospital/security staff.
• Ensure safety of patients, staff, and visitors using de-escalation techniques.
• Document and report all incidents, maintaining detailed logs.
• Communicate effectively using two-way radios and computer applications.
• Remain alert, make immediate decisions, and maintain composure in emergencies.
• Handle confidential information with discretion.
• Monitor and screen visitors in a professional manner.

Requirements

Requirements (Must-Have)

• Must live within 1 hour of Redwater, AB.
• Must be willing to travel as needed.
• Must have a clean criminal record.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
• Must complete Healthcare Security Training (provided).
• First Aid/CPR Level C certification required (training provided if not currently held).

Preferred (Assets): Basic Security Training, CPI training, or prior security-related experience.
