Operator Blending/Loading Lead

Our Metairie, LA branch is currently seeking an Operator Blending/Loading Lead. As a Lead,  you will be responsible for receiving, sampling and unloading all inbound bulk shipments of used oil by rail, and truck as well as overseeing other Blending & Unloading Operators. This individual will work within all local, state, and federal rules and regulations; and follow all Safety-Kleen policies and procedures.

  • Review paperwork to insure compliance with company, governmental rules and regulations
  • Sample all inbound rail cars, trucks and trailers
  • Prepare the sample and submit for lab analysis
  • Prepares paperwork receipts for filing and processing
  • Unload rail cars, trucks and trailers into the used oil receiving tanks
  • Supervise other Blending & Unloading Operators, distribute workloads
  • General housekeeping of the facility
  • Other duties as required

What does it take to work for Safety-Kleen?

  • 2-3 years loading/unloading and chemical blending experience preferred
  • 3+ years supervisory, Lead, or Foreman experience in a production environment preferred
  • Forklift experience preferred
  • Ability to work in hot and cold weather conditions
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Work well in a team environment
