Operator Blending/Loading
Safety-Kleen is looking for an Operator of Blending/Loading to join our safety conscious team! The Operator will be responsible for following Federal Railroad Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) and regulations while loading and shipping finished product by truck and rail blending lube oils for use in hydraulic systems, inspecting shipping containers, and preparing and reviewing all paperwork for bulk shipments of lube and fuels to ship products through US and Canadian customs.

- Inspects shipping containers for suitability to load finished products.
- Inspects railcars and rucks to meet the requirements of Federal Railroad D.O.T.
- Operates the facility trailer dryer to ensure containers are dry and clean.
- Reviews shipping paperwork for product to be loaded.
- Prepares paperwork for shipment, filing and processing.
- Calculates gallons and prepares customs documents for export to Canada.
- Trained in Confined Space Entry, CPR and first aid to serve on Confined Space Rescue Team.
- Tests, LOTO and prepares equipment for repairs.
- Responsible for work permits.
- Loads requested products and volumes indicated on paperwork into trailers, railcars.
- Unloads barges of used oil into facility storage tanks.
- Organizes and maintains truck and rail loading areas.
- Acts as the rail switchman.
- Blends hydraulic fluids to meet customer specifications.
- Receives and maintains bulk additives for use in hydraulic blending.
- Transfers additives from drums to totes.
- Prepares samples of finished products and submits to Lab for approval to transfer and or load for shipment to customers.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School degree or equivalent is required.
- 0-3 years relevant experience.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to count and read.
- Time management.
- Computer skills.
- Knowledge of railcar, tanker loading, blending or filling.
