Our client, in Poughkeepsie, NY is seeking Material Handler to join their team.  The ideal candidate will have previous experience with receiving, filling, shipping, and inspecting orders accurately and in a timely manner; efficiently and safely loads, unloads, and conveys materials, which will align successfully in the organization.

 Job Title: Material Handlers/ Forklift Operators

Location: Poughkeepsie

Pay Range: $17/hr

Shift- Monday-Friday 7:00am-5:00pm and Saturday 8am-4pm (Rotating Saturday's)

 

What’s the Job?

• Provides customer service assistance locating and loading products in customer vehicles.
• Opens containers utilizing hand tools as needed; counts and weighs materials and records information.
• Identifies damaged materials and records material shortages.
• Loads and unloads materials onto and from a variety of containers including but not limited to trucks, conveyors, racks, pallets, and/or trays; utilizes appropriate tools to accomplish task.
• Transports incoming and outgoing materials to designated areas utilizing appropriate tools/vehicles to accomplish task including but not limited to hand truck, forklift.
   

What’s Needed?

• Previous Warehouse Experience
• Previous Forklift Experience
• One to two years related experience or equivalent.
• Familiarity with shipping practices and handling methods.
• Skid steer experience a plus.
