We are looking for a Low Voltage Technician I to maintain, repair, and install low voltage equipment and related systems. This position will be full-time contract and onsite with some local travel.
What You’ll Do
Maintain, repair, and install low voltage equipment such as card access, physical security systems, CCTV cameras, and network video recorders at tolling sites and department facilities
Troubleshoot and maintain data cabling systems, power and data cable infrastructure
Use software tools for diagnostics
Coordinate services across multiple departments
Complete necessary documentation
What You'll Need
Required:
Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and manuals
Skilled in using volt/amp meters and basic hand tools
Familiarity with electronic theory and practical applications
Familiarity with maintenance management systems and CCTV systems
Familiarity with facilities maintenance
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to work at heights up to 30 feet and lift up to 50 pounds
Valid Class E Driver's License
Overnight travel and on-call availability may be required
Preferred:
Three years of experience in cabling systems
Within one year of hire, must obtain Aerial Lift Vehicle Operation Certification and complete a 10-hour OSHA Safety Course
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with the occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
