The Lead HVAC installer is responsible for accurately installing HVAC equipment in residential structures. Ideal candidates will have knowledge of HVAC equipment, codes, and proper installation procedures.

Responsibilities for the Lead HVAC Installer:
- Replace heating, air conditioning, or refrigeration equipment/systems.
- Test electrical circuits and components using specialized equipment.
- Inspect and test pipe or tubing joints and connections for leaks.
- Join pipes or tubing, creating a complete circuit for fuel, water, or refrigerant sources.
- Lay out and connect electrical wiring between controls and equipment based on wiring diagrams.
- Install, connect, and adjust thermostats, humidistats, and timers.
- Maintain required certifications and comply with safety standards and policies.
- Inspect and test systems to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
Requirements for the Lead HVAC Installer:
- Must have an EPA certification with a solid understanding of applicable installation and venting codes.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience, including hands-on training or work.
- Proven expertise in heating and cooling systems, with the ability to draw simple diagrams and interpret blueprints.
- Service experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Trade School graduate preferred.
- Driver’s License is required.
- Knowledgeable in HVAC codes, proper application, and electrical/HVAC safety.
- Strong mathematical skills and the ability to produce routine reports.

- Effective communication skills with both internal and external customers.
