Ace Handyman Services of Elgin is hiring an experienced, multi-skilled Craftsman to join our trusted team!

We’re looking for independent, reliable trades professionals who take pride in quality workmanship. This is steady, year-round work with no nights or weekends — the perfect opportunity for late-career tradesmen or seasoned professionals who want meaningful, hands-on work without the stress of running their own business.

💰 Starting Pay: $25/hour, with the opportunity to increase up to $30/hour after a 60-day probation period (based on performance).

We offer a $500 signing bonus after successfully completing a 30-day probationary period.

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking experienced tradespeople who are:

• Hands-on, independent, and capable of working without constant oversight
• Professional, punctual, and customer-focused
• Skilled problem-solvers who can adapt and troubleshoot on the job
• Organized and efficient with tools, vehicles, and job sites
• Communicators who represent our company with professionalism and care

Requirements

What's most important to us is a strong work ethic, a professional appearance and demeanor, and a good overall knowledge of all trades—from Carpentry, Tiling, Painting, and Drywalling to light Plumbing and Electrical.

Skills & Experience Needed

• 10+ years of remodeling, handyman, or construction experience (hands-on, not DIY)
• Strong knowledge in carpentry, tiling, drywall, light plumbing, light electrical, and door/window installation
• Must reside within 10 miles of Elgin, IL (Zip 60123)
• Own reliable work vehicle (truck or van) with insurance (trip surcharge paid for every job)
• Own set of standard hand and power tools
• Comfortable with pre-employment background check
