The Engineering, Integration and Operations business area of Leidos has an opening for an Electrical Power Production Technician. Working at a site or sites in the Southwest Asia region, the appointed individual must possess the qualifications to maintain, modify, and repair electrical power generating and control systems, automatic transfer switches, and associated equipment. They conduct scheduled periodic maintenance on systems and components, ensuring the proper adjustment of generator systems to maintain optimal voltage, current frequency, and synchronization. The designee identifies, records, and addresses generator malfunctions by removing, repairing, and/or replacing defective power-generating components. They are responsible for maintaining various systems, including but not limited to Cummins generator series such as DGDK, DSGAB, DGBB, C15D6, C35D6, 125D6D, MEPP series 1050, 1070A, PP3106A, and Cummins Inpower software. This individual is qualified to work from blueprints, drawings, and operate a variety of electrician’s hand tools and testing instruments while providing support for various generator systems.

Primary Responsibilities
Repair and planned/un-planned maintenance including corrosion control.
Basic Qualifications
Education:
High School diploma or GED. Formal training on power generating equipment and associated equipment such as: military technical training school, vocational college, and/or a four (4) year apprentice program with experience in electrical power production maintenance and repair.
Experience:
Four (4) years of practical experience with equipment the technician will maintain. Six (6) months of Cummins Commercial, Advanced Medium Mobile Power Source (AMMPS) and InPower Software experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with HVAC systems troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance.
