What You'll Be Doing

  • Perform work safely in accordance with company and regulatory standards. Ensure others do the same.
  • Assist in preparing feasibility studies, including cost estimates for CapEx planning.
  • Provide electrical technical expertise under the direction of the Senior Project Manager.
  • Prepare power system studies such as arc flash hazard analysis.
  • Assist in overseeing projects, developing plans, estimating costs, and monitoring progress.
  • Help prepare electrical specs and scopes for bidding, support bid evaluation, and monitor vendor performance.
  • Direct contractors' electrical activities, support negotiations, verify invoices, and ensure compliance during commissioning.

What Are We Looking For

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or electrical technology.
  • Understanding of the principles and practices of the National Electrical Code and electrical engineering concepts.
  • Solid computer skills; familiarity with SKM, ETAP, and EasyPower is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6 scheduling software is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to lead and coordinate project teams.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15%, with extended site visits during start-up and commissioning.

Work Environment

  • Role operates primarily in an office setting but will also operate in a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, elevated noise levels, and dusty conditions as dictated by project requirements.
  • Must be able to occasionally climb stairs, walk on uneven surfaces, and enter confined spaces.
  • Exposure to a variety of engineering projects and challenges.
