Electrical Engineer III

Responsibilities
- EWIS design, to include creation of wiring diagrams, harness assembly drawings, and harness installation models
- Liaison support to flight test and manufacturing
- Documentation of design guidelines, methods, and processes
- Drafting of EWIS component test plans
- Support coordination between other engineering disciplines
- Interface with subcontractors and suppliers
Qualifications You Must Have:
- Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or other related discipline and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience
- Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices
- Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools
- Progressive experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
- Exposure to simulations through functional and logical models and system analysis
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
- Experience composing and analyzing Electrical Load Analysis (ELA), circuit modeling, simulation, and analysis
- Familiarity with design requirements related to High Intensity Radiated Field (HIRF) and Indirect Effects of Lightning (IEL)
- Knowledge of industry-standard electrical design principles, to include, but not limited to model-based definition, electrical component selection, manufacturing, and production processes
- Familiar with Electro Magnetic Effects (EME) to include, Electro Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Electro Magnetic Interference (EMI)
- Experience analyzing and interpreting federal rules and regulations
- Significant experience with EWIS design for large transport category aircraft (14 CFR, Part 25, Subpart H)
- Familiar with use of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools (e.g. 3DExperience, Enovia SmarTeam, Teamcenter)
- Experience with logical and harness design CAD tools (e.g. Catia, ECAD, Capital Logic, HarnessXC, Zuken)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Exposure to simulations through functional and logical models and system analysis
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
- Experience composing and analyzing Electrical Load Analysis (ELA), circuit modeling, simulation, and analysis
- Familiarity with design requirements related to High Intensity Radiated Field (HIRF) and Indirect Effects of Lightning (IEL)

- Experience in digital or analog circuit design and schematic capture
- Understanding of the printed circuit board layout process and tools
- Familiar with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principals
- CAMEO experience
- Harness routing experience in 3D CAD design tools
- Harness assembly design experience

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $108,496.89 - $149,183.22. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.SNC offers a generous benefit package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, 401(k) with 150% match up to 6%, life insurance, 3 weeks paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and more.
