Diesel Mechanic

Location: Washington, Iowa

Pay: up to $30/Hour - based on experience and training

Hours: 1^st shift hours 7:00am-4:00pm

Direct-Hire position! At least 2 years of previous experience is preferred.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage the company’s fleet of vehicles and all mechanical equipment
• Perform inspections on all full range of vehicles, including trucks, trailers, forklift, heavy duty trucks, compressors, ect. 
• Have knowledge to work on diesel engines, transmissions, brake systems, electrical trouble shooting, steering, and cooling/heating systems
• Track maintenance work and schedules for each of the vehicles
• Maintain parts inventory and cleanliness in the shop 
• Use hand tools including screwdrivers, wrenches, pliers, ect.

Skill Requirements:

• Ability to stand, lift, bend, and reach for 8-10 hours
• Lift up to 50 pounds
• Preform repetitive motion activities
• Must be able to wear personal protection
• Read, understand, and communicate all safety and operational procedures
• Work in a team environment and be flexible when production needs change
