Job Title: Coating Technician – 1st Shift
Location: Boulder, CO
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $20–$25/hour (based on experience)
Reports to: Production Supervisor or Manager

Position Summary

The Coating Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining automated cleaning equipment used to prepare optical components. This role requires careful handling of delicate optics and adherence to strict cleanroom protocols to ensure product quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Work in an ISO Class 7 cleanroom environment, following all safety and quality procedures

• Perform routine inspections of optical components and cleaning equipment

• Handle and load delicate optics into tooling and cleaning systems

• Operate cleaning equipment and conduct basic maintenance, including chemical changes and cleaning

• Read and follow detailed process sheets accurately

• Support Production, Facilities, and Engineering teams with scheduling, maintenance tasks, and continuous improvement projects

• Maintain clear and effective communication with team members

• Lift and handle objects up to 25 lbs

• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred

• Prior experience in a cleanroom environment is a plus, but not required

• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word is preferred

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures
