The Opportunity:


  • The Die Cutter Operator will set up and operator a die cutting press with maximum uptime and quality of product and will lead and coordinate the press crew.
  • Ability to effectively communicate business issues with leadership, maintenance and  crews
  • Able to execute processes and achieve results in safety, quality, productivity and cost efficiency
  • Must assure proper operation of the entire die cutting press
  • Must be able to complete make-readies on the die stripping section, blanking sections and assure the maintenance throughout the runs
  • Must maintain the highest possible quality levels throughout all runs including, cutting, scoring, nicking, register, etc.
  • Must be able to troubleshoot and adjust any problems that may occur during make-readies and runs
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment

 


What you need to succeed:


  • GED/High School Diploma
  • 2 years' experience operating a die cutter in the folding carton industry
  • Good trouble shooting skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with leadership, maintenance and crew
  • Ability to organize and coordinate make-ready materials preparation and assist in executing safe, efficient make readies.
  • Ability to distinguish color and depth perception
  • Ability to operate advanced computer controls and quality systems
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment (such as pallet jack or forklift) if needed
