Responsibilities – Automotive Service Technician:
- Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks
- Diagnose and repair basic to moderate vehicle issues under the guidance of senior technicians
- Assist in identifying vehicle problems using diagnostic tools and testing equipment
- Conduct multi-point inspections and communicate findings to service advisors
- Test-drive vehicles before and after repairs to ensure proper performance
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow dealership and manufacturer repair procedures and safety protocols
- Learn from experienced team members and stay current with ongoing training and certification opportunities
- Adhere to federal, state, and local regulations, including hazardous waste disposal
- Report any safety concerns, defective tools, or shop issues to management
Qualifications – Automotive Service Technician:
- 1- 2 years’ previous technician experience and/or “B” level techs preferred
- Experience in automotive, diesel, marine, powersports, or another mechanical field encouraged to apply—We’ll train the right person!
- Mechanical/troubleshooting skills and the ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
- Good work ethic and problem-solving skills
- Thrives in a fast-paced, team environment
- Motivated to learn new repair/service procedures
- Valid driver's license and good driving record
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
