We are looking for an Assembly Technician. This position will be full-time and onsite in Middletown, PA. This shift is Monday-Friday 7AM-3:30PM .
This position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, person granted asylee status in the U.S., or person admitted into the U.S. as a refugee.
What You’ll Do
Termination of various standard fiber optic termini as well new termini designs
Support prototype product builds, test product builds, pre-release NPI builds
Mechanical Aptitude to safely & efficiently operate equipment (E-Stop/Soft Stop, identifying issues, clearing faults and acknowledging machines states.
Assist in the estimation process step durations
Assist in setting-up new manufacturing processes
Suggest process changes to improve overall manufacturing efficiencies
Communication within a team atmosphere to ensure clarity of purpose & Customer satisfaction
Soldering & PCBA Assembly skills for the following: Wire Harnesses, Connectors, Passive
Components (Resistors, Capacitors, etc.), IC (Integrated Circuits)
Use of Fiber Optic & Electronic Test Equipment: Optical Power Meters, IL/RL Test, Oscilloscope, DMM (Digital Multi Meter), Variable Power Supplies, Variable Attenuators, Optical & RF Switch
What You'll Need
Required:
High School Diploma or GED
Must have good time management skills to work on numerous projects simultaneously
Attention to Detail (following BOM’s, Routers, and, understanding drawings/prints)
Proficient Dexterity & Motor Skills for intricate/delicate work
Preferred:
2 years of experience in a fiber optic manufacturing environment is preferred but not mandatory
Physical Demands
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
