    Responsibilities for the Apprentice Plumber:

  • Assist Technicians: Support Plumbing Service and Install Technicians in executing residential plumbing services.
  • On-the-Job Learning: Demonstrate a commitment to learning on the job, working toward becoming a qualified Plumber.
  • Tool Proficiency: Utilize and become proficient in the basic tools of the plumbing trade.
  • Equipment Knowledge: Identify the appropriate tools and equipment needed for successful job completion.
  • Job Site Cleanup: Ensure the job site is thoroughly cleaned after work is finished.
  • Professionalism: Consistently provide professional service, representing Woodfin-Your Home Team with respect for customers.
  • Additional Tasks: Take on additional tasks as assigned.


    Requirements for an Apprentice Plumber:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 months to 1 year of hands-on experience in the trades (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc).
  • Driving Record: Acceptable driving record with a minimum of 3 years of driving experience.
  • Background Check: Clean background check and positive work/character references. Pre-employment and random drug testing required.
  • Interest and Knowledge: Demonstrated interest in residential plumbing, with preference for some knowledge of residential service and repair.
  • Communication Skills: Effective and professional communication skills.
  • Technical Abilities: Ability to perform multiple technical tasks, with a willingness to upgrade skills to meet changing job conditions. Specific competencies include operating equipment for plumbing maintenance and repair, adhering to safety practices, and project planning and management.
  • Physical Demands: Capability to meet significant physical demands, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; climbing and balancing; stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and fine finger dexterity.
