2nd shift Machine Operator

**The Role**
As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, safely operating, and ensuring basic maintenance of a variety of pieces of automated and semi-automated machinery to produce high-quality cannabis products. The Machine Operator is responsible for guaranteeing that all products meet our clients' standards (including product formulas, visual appearance, packaging, etc.), inspecting and ensuring equipment is ready to run, and adjusting equipment to run at optimal speed while maintaining safety and quality standards.
**Essential functions:**
- Perform equipment inspections (including calibrations, line centering, etc.) to ensure the successful operation of equipment.
- Responsible for increasing operational efficiency and reducing waste through ownership, teamwork, communication, and collaboration.
- Work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity standards.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to complete the tasks according to company standards.
- Work in a quick and efficient manner to consistently increase productivity.
- Responsible for regular maintenance and cleaning of all equipment.
- Participate in trial runs, new product development projects, and training of other employees.
- Work in a team environment and be part of building a positive work environment.
- Work with BioTrack THC and other inventory management software systems.
- Participate in daily communication meetings.
- Elevate issues to a Lead, Manager, and HR as appropriate.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor and/or Team Lead.
**Safety & Compliance:**
- Be aware of hazards in the workspace.
- Retain and understand department-specific training.
- Report safety incidents/concerns and comply with follow-up actions.
- Be compliant with area safety requirements, state regulations, and PPE requirements.
- Follow GMP, biosecurity, sanitation, and/or other quality and compliance requirements.
- Perform record keeping accurately and completely as directed by a Lead and/or Supervisor.
- Maintain and calibrate tools, equipment, and machinery as directed by a Lead and/or Supervisor.
- Report and escalate safety and quality concerns.
**Working Conditions**
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform reaching, grasping, bending, stooping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
- Must be able to repetitively climb ladders and/or stairs and work from elevated platforms.
- Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time while maintaining focus.
- Must be able to lift, carry, and balance up to 50 pounds (and up to 100 pounds with assistance) AND must be able to do so with extreme care and caution when working with the product.
- Must be able to work in an environment that is 85+ degrees and 70% humidity for extended periods.
- Must be able to work at heights.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
- Work involves daily exposure to allergens (such as cannabis, tree nuts, and coconut oil).
**Qualifications**
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
- Effective time-management skills and the ability to multitask.
- Ability to work well with others while also completing individually assigned tasks.
- Additional Requirements
- Must be at a minimum of 21 years of age.
- Must possess a valid state ID.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain state badging requirements to work in the cannabis industry (requires a background check and state review).
