POSITION SUMMARY:
The Environmental Health & Safety Intern is “hosted” by the Safety Department at one of our manufacturing/distribution facilities. This is a 12-week summer internship. Please note that we do not provide housing.

Position Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the Safety Manager with:
- Implementing safety related programs at the site
- Employee training
- Coordination of safety and occupational health projects
- Promoting safe actions throughout the organization
- Analyzing accident and incident records
- Special projects as identified by the Safety Manager
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited four-year college or university at the time of the internship
- Must have sophomore, junior or senior class standing
- Must have a minimum GPA of 2.8
- Must be willing to relocate if in the future considered for a Trainee position
- Must have experience with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and Power Point
Preferred Qualifications:
- Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Health, or related majors
- Previous Internship, Co-op or work experience in a related field
- Previous experience as a Sherwin-Williams Intern or Co-op
- Previous internship or co-op experience in the Sherwin-Williams Global Supply Chain Division
- Leadership experience as demonstrated by your involvement in extracurricular activities on campus or in the community
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Problem solving ability
- Organizational and time management skills
- Project Management skills
