Description

As a Carpenter at Garney Construction, you will play a vital role in the building process, focusing on the construction of water and wastewater systems. Your day will be filled with hands-on tasks including measuring, cutting, and shaping wood and other materials, as well as working closely with your team to ensure high-quality workmanship. You will interpret blueprints and plans, collaborate with other trades, and maintain a safe and organized worksite.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Carpenter, preferably in commercial or industrial settings
• Strong understanding of carpentry techniques and methods, including framing, roofing, and finishing
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical plans
• Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations
• Physical stamina and strength, with the ability to lift heavy materials
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites

Nice to Have

• Experience working in water and wastewater construction projects
• Familiarity with hand and power tools used in carpentry
• Basic knowledge of other construction trades, such as plumbing or electrical work
• OSHA certification or other safety training credentials
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team
