Compensation: $20 – $23/hour (depending on experience)


About the Role

Rooter Hero is seeking a detail-oriented Office Assistant/Payroll Clerk to support daily office operations and assist with payroll functions. This role is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.


Responsibilities

  • Provide general office support including filing, data entry, and answering phones

  • Assist with payroll processing and maintain accurate timekeeping records

  • Handle employee onboarding paperwork and maintain personnel files

  • Support HR with benefits enrollment, uniforms, and termination paperwork

  • Process expense reports and assist with accounts payable/receivable as needed

  • Prepare reports and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

  • Provide excellent internal customer service to staff and technicians

  • Assist management with special projects and other administrative duties


Requirements

  • Previous administrative or office support experience required

  • Basic knowledge of payroll systems and/or HR processes preferred

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and data entry

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism

  • Positive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to learn

  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
