Square Manufacturing Co. is a manufacturer of solid wood furniture. Our work includes small batch production for private labels, design, engineering, and product development in collaboration with independent designers and design studios, and the design and building of one-off custom pieces.

We are looking to hire at least one full-time woodworker in our shop in Lewiston, ME. A team member at Square Manufacturing Co. is part of a small group of craftspeople dedicated to doing their work well and efficiently. Ideal is a candidate well versed in the milling and material prep process. This role will be contributing to the building of freestanding solid wood furniture pieces using a combination of traditional methods and modern machinery, the successful candidate will have knowledge of constructing quality handmade furniture in a production environment.

• At least 2 years professional experience
• A broad understanding of the properties of solid wood
• Knowledge of woodworking tools and applications
• A foremost commitment to quality craftsmanship
• An interest in continuing to develop production woodworking techniques
• Self-motivated
• An understanding of shop safety
