Upholstery Framer/Finisher

All employees of Smith System are responsible for abiding by the companys core values of servant leadership, diversity, ethical behavior, teamwork, and continuous learning. The Upholstery Framer/Finisher is responsible for various tasks in the production of upholstered furniture.
Use framing gun to build furniture frames.
Use staple gun to staple fabric of various types.
Stretch vinyl fabric to fit over frame.
Safely perform all duties and report any safety risks observed.
Participate in plant-wide cleanliness initiatives.
From time to time, for the purposes of allowing employees to advance as well as to meet day to day labor needs, we may ask employees to work in other departments/positions outside of their regular job classification.
Perform all other duties as assigned.

Experience in a manufacturing/warehouse preferred but not required.
Dependable with good attendance.
Good reading, writing, math, and communication skills are required.
Team Player ability to cooperate with associates, leads, supervisors, and managers.
Standing/walking for minimum of 8 hours per day.
Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
Ability to lift and carry objects more than 50lbs with assistance.
Ability to operate
Ability to push/pull/bend/stoop.
Ability to operate basic hand tools.
Ability to work overtime when asked to do so by Smith System.
Constantly works in a warehouse without climate control.
