Pay Type: Bi-weekly

Pay Range: $350 - $650 per day based on experience level


Summary:

A Touring Carpenter’s role is to execute the build of staging equipment, per the Company’s specifications, under the direction of the Tour Production. All Access supports tours throughout the year, and we are seeking to expand our network of pre-qualified and talented individuals who are interested in filling Touring Carpenter positions as they arise. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Operate within standard operating and safety procedures
  • Perform the load-in & out of staging equipment at all tour venues
  • Maintain all staging equipment to ensure that it remains in proper working order at all times
  • Operate and care for stage areas in a safe, clean manner
  • Take direction and communicate effectively with the head carpenter and production personnel
  • Assist in troubleshooting staging equipment
  • Conform to policies/procedures set forth by production or venue
  • Act as team player, supporting the team to ensure the staging equipment is installed safely and quickly at each venue
  • Anticipate critical needs of the team and be proactive
  • Utilize technical design documents in the construction of staging and equipment
  • Interface with client representation with professionalism and patience
  • Adhere to general OSHA safety standards, including fall protection, required PPE, and safe operation of heavy equipment

Requirements
  • Clean and neat appearance
  • Some touring or event production experience required
  • Strong verbal communication skills and professionalism mandatory
  • Proficiency with basic tools
  • Basic computer/smartphone literacy
  • Willing to travel extensively in the US and internationally
  • Existing knowledge of staging equipment or eagerness to learn how to utilize, troubleshoot and maintain staging equipment
  • OSHA 10 certification a plus but training and certification will be provided to the right candidate
  • Strong adherence to safety standards
  • May be required to participate in lifting staging decks, crowd control barricades, trussing, and associated peripherals
