JOB TITLE: Senior Maintenance Associate - Handyman Duties

REPORTS TO: Maintenance Manager

SUMMARY

The Senior Maintenance Associate will be responsible for numerous responsibilities relating to keeping the building well maintained.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform general maintenance including general carpentry and minor plumbing such as cleaning clogged drains and water leaks.
• Perform cosmetic repairs including drywall repair and painting.
• Assist in office set up including assembling and disassembling office furniture.
• Move furniture, appliances and/or equipment in offices, warehouse, or shop area including file cabinets, desks, chairs, etc.
• Occasionally cleans kitchens, restrooms, lounge areas, walls, windows, window blinds/shades, ceilings, and doors using cleaners and disinfecting solutions.
• Polishes windows, mirrors, and fixtures.
• Picks up litter and/or recyclable materials, empties large and small trash containers, removes miscellaneous debris.
• Removes snow and ice from building entrances, sidewalks and other areas as required by utilizing snowplows, salting machine, shovel, etc.
• Maintains that all equipment and work areas are kept clean and in orderly condition.
• May be required to be available for 24-hour calls.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must have the ability to prioritize job duties and work independently and/or in a team environment with minor supervision.
• Ability to operate a forklift/other machinery.
• Experience using basic hand tools and power tools.
• Ability and willingness to climb ladders or work from scaffolding.
• Required to stand, push, pull, reach, lift, bend, walk for extended periods of time. Heavy lifting required.
• Valid driver's license required. Must be willing to drive company van/car as needed.
