Quick Lube Technician

Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced
Quick Lube Technician to join our Express Lube Department! You must understand the importance of a correctly performed Multi-Point Vehicle Inspection, and be experienced with both tire and wheel installations, familiar with fluid flush equipment for brake, coolant and power steering systems.
Experience is preferred but not required - we are flexible to offer paid training to the right candidate.

Responsibilities
-
Test to check systems and components are secure and working properly, isolating problem sources.

Drive the vehicle for testing purposes and inspect and refill fluid levels as necessary

Experienced with both tire and wheel installations, familiar with fluid flush equipment for brake, coolant and power steering systems

Ensure tire pressure for proper inflation, clean and lubricate fittings as needed

Install a new oil drain plug and new oil filter and communicate oil levels to teammates

Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing as well as repairing vehicles

Repair or replace worn parts ahead of the vehicle’s breakdown or damage
Qualifications
-
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

One year in a service department

Deep understanding of automobiles and speedy diagnostic abilities

Texas State Inspectors License needed or open to obtain a Texas State Inspectors License

Effective analytical and communication skills and eagerness to improve

Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications

Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment

High School Diploma or GED (required)

ASE Certification/Technical degree (preferred)
