A2Z Handyman & Contracting Services provide our valued residential and commercial customers insured and experienced handyman, home-improvement, and contracting services across the WNY area. As an A2Z Handyman you will be empowered and given much more flexibility than others in our industry. For example, you are in charge of your own job sites, and given the freedom to interact directly with homeowners and property managers to suggest work that will improve safety, preserve their largest investment, and truly help them to love their homes and commercial buildings.

Qualifications

Craftsmen who are experienced, reliable, efficient.

• You have four years of high-school or GED equivalent
• You have three to five years of carpentry, building trades, or construction apprenticeship or completed an accredited carpentry school or training program and passed the examinations.
• You have a firm grasp on engineering and mathematical concepts and can follow instructions and blue prints
• You have a understanding of modern appliances and general electro-mechanical related skills
• You have a valid NYS driver’s license
• You possess strong leadership qualities and take matters into your own hands approach
• You value integrity and whatever it takes to do the job right
• You are responsible and in control of your environment
• You are timely and respectful and believe in a sense of urgency and able to manage a schedule
• You possess strong customer service communications skills where you are a good listener and treat clients with politeness and honesty

Responsibilities

As a A2Z Carpenter you will be responsible for running projects and cases at jobsites day to day across WNY. You must be well organized with strong general repair skills as well as oversee the multiple projects the company is working on.

• You will be performing finish carpentry such as crown molding, baseboard, wainscoting, door and window trim (knowledge of miter cuts and joinery)
• You will be performing rough carpentry such as framing and installing windows and doors
• You will be performing service and installation of fireplace mantles

• You will be performing service and installations to kitchens and bathrooms including cabinets, drawers, and countertops
• You will be performing service and installation for entertainment centers
• You will be performing service and installation for bars
• You will be performing service and installation for decks, porches, and stairs
• You will be performing full kitchen and bathroom remodels
• You will be performing service and installation of floors including vinyl plank, tile, hardwood, and laminate
• You will be performing service and installation of ceramic tiles such as backsplash and surrounds
• You will be performing service and installation of ceiling and wall accents
• You will be performing service and installation of custom built in architectural features
• You will be performing service and installation of customer purchased appliances and furniture such as microwaves, refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers, washers, and dryers
• You will be performing service and installation of siding including vinyl, wood, and metal
• You will be performing service and installation of exterior fencing such as vinyl and wood
• You will be responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting general customer home- improvement issues.

Pay: $37,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
