Job Description
Legal Assistant/Office Manager
Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
- Interview clients and witnesses to gather information for legal proceedings
- Transcribe and proofread legal documents and correspondence
- File and organize documents, both physical and electronic, in a timely manner
- Maintain calendars and schedules for attorneys
- Assist with document review and case management
- Prepare and maintain case files
Skills:
- Proficient in Mycase or similar case management software
-Technologically proficient
- Strong interviewing skills to gather information from clients and witnesses
- Excellent legal drafting skills for preparing legal documents
- Accurate transcription skills for documenting meetings and hearings
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Familiarity with legal case management systems to track case progress
- Excellent written communication skills for drafting correspondence and reports
- Attention to detail when reviewing documents for accuracy
This position requires a strong understanding of legal procedures and terminology. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a law firm or legal department. A degree in paralegal studies or a related field is preferred, but not required. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and PDF, are necessary.

Pay: $20.86 - $25.12 per hour
