Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Janitor. In this position the ideal candidate would be self motivated, driven, has strong time management stills and is detail oriented. The Janitor would maintain our 3PL facility assisting with upkeep, maintenance and cleaning of grounds, warehouse and office; building furniture and other duties related to the upkeep of the facility..

Essential Job Functions:

• Clean and maintain designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning, removing trash etc.)
• Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
• Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects
• Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
• Make adjustments and minor repairs
• Stock and maintain supply rooms
• Maintain grounds- trash pickup, clean cigarette receptacles, winter weather upkeep
• Cleans windows and mirrors.
• Wipes down and sanitizes surfaces.
• Cleans, sanitizes, and stocks restrooms.
• Handles leaf and snow removal as needed.
• Disinfect commonly used items like desks, door handles, office tools and phones
• Maintain cleaning inventory, placing orders for new products when needed
• Empty trash and recycling bins
• Notify supervisors of unsafe conditions
• Operate Cleaning Equipment
• Fills out janitorial checklists at the end of every shift
• Adheres to company policies and procedures

Skills and Abilities:

• Follows written and verbal instructions
• Handles the physical demands of the job, including standing and walking for most of the shift, bending, climbing, and lifting at least 50 pounds.
• Collaborates with other team members

Equipment and Technology:

• Operate hand tools and power tools
• Operate cleaning equipment

Safety: Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Perform all tasks in a manner which promotes safety in accordance with OSHA standards.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
• Good communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Familiarity with operation of basic hand tools
• Janitorial experience is required
