HVAC Technician

CAC, Inc. has been servicing New Mexico since 1973. Our focus is service, repair and replacement of commercial HVAC systems. CAC, Inc. currently has openings for Professional HVAC Commercial Service Technicians to join our team of professionals and possess the following qualifications:

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $29.00 to $36.00 /hour DOE for experienced technicians.

$25.00 to $29.00/hour DOE for less experienced/non journeyman technicians.

-Requires Good driving record with a valid driver's license

-Diagnose and repair malfunctions in various types of heating and air-conditioning systems, including rooftop equipment.

-Install new heating and air conditioning systems and components.

-Repair, replace, or calibrate controls, thermostats, switches, fuses, and electrical wiring.

-Wire and connect motors, compressors, temperature controls, and humidity controls according to wiring schematics.

-Maintain preventive maintenance schedules and procedures for all HVAC equipment, including changing of filters and cleaning condensers and coils.

-Install and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, power equipment, and components of machinery and equipment following electrical code, manuals, specifications, schematics, and blueprints.

-Install and repair control and distribution apparatus, including motors, relays, switches, thermostats, circuit-breaker panels, etc.

-Install and connect power supply wiring, cables, conduit, and electrical apparatus for machines and equipment in new and existing facilities following diagrams, schematics, or blueprints.

-Receive and complete work orders.

-Respond to emergency calls as needed

-Operate tools and equipment according to established safety procedures.

-Ensure that equipment is in safe operating condition.

-EPA Certified a must with a Journeyman License in Refrigeration a plus

-Large Backlog/Immediate work!

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • HVAC: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • EPA Type II (Preferred)
  • Driver's License (Required)
