HVAC Technician!
Detailed Description: POSITION OVERVIEW: Installs air filters, visually inspects systems, and repairs various air quality systems. Main duties include locating and diagnosing maintenance problems on equipment, conducting warranty services and quickly performing emergency repairs on certain equipment items. Perform general cleaning. Perform other tasks as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Preventative maintenance HVAC servicing.
2. Performs routine HVAC maintenance and inspections.
3. Performs repairs on HVAC as needed.
4. Keeps vehicle and tools in good condition and reports any vehicle or tool deficiencies.
5. Communicating with supervisors and school staffs.
6. Ordering and maintaining HVAC parts and equipment.
7. Meets all local, state, and federal HVAC codes.
8. Keeps records of HVAC PM service and repairs.
9. Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
10. Must be able to work flexible hours.
11. Possible work on off times in event of emergency service.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Completion of secondary school education.
- Preferred two years working experience in the HVAC field.
- Must pass a background check.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Ability to read, writes, speaks and understands English fluently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be customer service oriented.
- Ability to meet or exceed the company’s attendance and punctuality standards.
- Ability to evaluate objectively, fairly, and consistently.
- Ability to use common tools.
- Ability to understand and follow directions as given.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Use miscellaneous office equipment (e.g. calculators, typewriters, computers, FAX machines, copiers, etc.).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Color vision
- Hearing
- Ability to push minimum 100 pounds; ability to lift minimum 50 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladder and step ladder.
- Bending at the waist, sitting, kneeling, laying horizontally, climbing, walking, etc., as job may require.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
- Extreme heat or cold
- Hearing
- Lifting or pushing up to 50 pounds
- Noise level which may, at times, require normal hearing protection in the form of ear plugs.
- Heights
- Electricity
- Lubricating fluids, cleaning solvents, batteries, etc.
- Cleaning fluids normally used in custodial duties.
- Paints and solvents.
- Bio‐medical waste such as hypodermic needles, body fluids, cultures, specimens, etc.
