HVAC Mechanic - VCU Health - Richmond, VA

Duties:
- Perform maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, including air conditioning units and refrigeration equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with HVAC systems to identify the root cause of problems.
- Conduct regular inspections of HVAC systems to ensure they are operating efficiently and safely.
- Install new HVAC units and equipment as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working on HVAC systems.
- Collaborate with other team members to coordinate repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and answering questions about HVAC systems.

Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of HVAC systems.
- Experience in ammonia refrigeration is highly desirable.
- Previous experience in property maintenance or field service is a plus.
- Ability to weld and perform equipment repairs is preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required for van driving responsibilities.
- Knowledge of HVAC/R principles, including air conditioning and appliance repair, is beneficial.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour

  • EPA Type II (Preferred)
