Carolina Chillers, LLC is looking for a motivated HVAC professional to become an HVAC Installation Technician in our Ladson, South Carolina office.
Responsibilities:
- Job duties include the installation of small and large HVAC equipment i.e. RTU s, split systems, chillers, pumps, controls, etc.
- Be able to work on a project and execute it within the desired budget and schedule.
- Be able to work in a controlled but ever changing construction environment for add-on, replacement and retrofits.
- Be able to work independently and have a strong desire to succeed.
- Be able to work safely and competently to ensure you and those around you are working in a safe and efficient manner.
- Reinforce the Carolina Chillers vision, mission statement and values.
- Strong Mechanical ability and aptitude since HVAC installers work with complicated machines. Understanding the pieces and tools needed to maintain and install these machines is crucial.
- Have an Extreme Attention to Detail because HVAC systems can be precise mechanisms. Careful observation is needed.
- A high level of physical strength due to HVAC installers having to lift heavy parts and equipment.
- Has strong experience working with sheet metal - fabrication and installation.
- Able to completely remove and replace a residential style HVAC system and handle all of the related mechanical portions with little to no supervision.
- Has strong experience working with piping systems to include copper Pro Press, copper soldering, threaded steel pipe, grooved steel pipe, welded steel pipe, and PVC.
- Has strong experience working with single phase and three phase electrical applications. Must have the ability to correctly size wire based on loads, install conduit, and pull wire.
- Time-Management skills and being able to keep to the schedule of jobs and finishing before deadlines is important to getting repeat work.
