About the Position:

Commercial inside sales' primary responsibility is handling customers’ orders and requests for multiple products and materials. Handle requests that come in and calculate the costs associated with the products or services, and provide accurate price quotes to customers. This role requires technical knowledge, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.

This position has the potential for growth and advancement in project estimating and management.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of the company's products, services, and pricing structures. Explain product features, benefits, and value propositions to clients.
  • Customer Communication: Interact with clients through various communication channels, such as phone, walk-ins, and email. Address customer inquiries, provide information about products and materials, and clarify technical details.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team. Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent and high-quality customer service.
  • Technical Expertise: Understand technical specifications and requirements of commercial projects. This could include reading and interpreting blueprints, construction plans, and other technical documentation. Learning multiple software programs from our manufacturers and how to order within as well as the company's internal software where orders are imputed and invoices received.
  • Deadline Management: Prepare and deliver quotes within specified timeframes to meet customer expectations and project timelines.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate quotes, estimates, and customer interaction records. Utilize software or tools to track quotes and manage customer information.
  • Labor: Light warehouse involvement, including some ordering of stock, and receiving deliveries if the Warehouse person is out or busy. Assist in unloading stock orders, cleaning up, and stocking of products if needed.
  • Cost Estimation: Analyze project requirements, specifications, and relevant data to estimate the costs involved accurately.
  • Quote Generation: Prepare detailed and accurate price quotes based on the cost estimates. Provide clients with clear and transparent breakdowns of the costs involved in their projects or orders.

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
