The HR Compliance Specialist is responsible for maintaining the Human Resources component of the accreditation management system for internal and external reporting of data related to Joint Commission standards which supports continuous readiness (patient safety and service quality) in Human Resources functions across the organization.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conducts, organizes and/or facilitates education and in-service opportunities for staff and Leadership based on Human Resources priority focus areas identified by the organization and accreditation and regulatory agencies.
  • Identifies and coordinates performance improvement initiatives for departments to ensure compliance and continuous quality improvement across the organization.
  • Monitors and reports compliance with Human Resources standards, regulations, and laws to HR Compliance Supervisor.
  • Conducts employee file audits to ensure compliance with Human Resources standards for maintenance of required documentation for employees, agency and contract staff, licensed independent practitioners, vendors, students, and volunteers (job requirements, verification of licensure, certification, registration, orientation, training and education, competency assessment, and evaluation of performance). Reports monthly aggregate data to HR Compliance Supervisor.
  • Assist with the management of Human Resource policies and procedures.
  • Actively participates in all accreditation survey preparations and activities related to Human Resources.
  • Serves on or facilitates HR process improvement teams as appointed by management team.
  • Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Immediately reports any mechanical or electrical equipment malfunctions, unsafe conditions, or employee/patient/visitor injury‑accident to Manager.
REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor's degree plus two (2) years' experience in Human Resources,
