The Project Manager (PM) has overall responsibility for assigned projects and is the primary point of contact all concerns including product quality, schedule, budget, safety, and customer interaction. PMs coordinate, provide direction, and document all aspects of assigned projects from conceptual design through fabrication and delivery. Project work can include installation. Specific responsibilities include;

1. Researching project documents including contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, drawings, specifications, and product data to ensure contract requirements are met, and to resolve disagreements. Project mangers coordinate with general contractor, preceding and adjacent trades for smooth transitions and to record conditions at the time when work begins.

2. Maintain a leadership "presence" throughout assigned projects. You must possess a “hands on” attitude and be willing to get involved to drive projects through to completion when. PMs primarily work in the office but travel as necessary to maintain control over their assigned projects.

3. PMs manage budgets, service quotes, and negotiate sub-contracts for outsources work or services. PMs assist in the development and use of control measures to maintain order and general organization of project work. In addition to the project schedule, PMs develop project specific information tools using the Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam.

4. PMs are required to communicate effectively in written and spoken forms, in face to face and electronic mediums. PMs manipulate electronic blueprints and information products to guide meaningful conversations between other managers, designers, shop workers, and field personnel. Meeting outputs are published within 24 hrs. Project documentation including Requests For Information, Non-Conformance Notices, and Change Orders are published within 72 hrs. Documentation is managed in a database, and digitally archived.

5. Successful PMs have between 2-5 years of contraction management experience in a combination of the following areas; Leadership. Supporting others. Reading blueprints. Critical thinking. Computer skills including typing and archiving. Engineering experience. Process management.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $54,158.00 - $79,545.00 per year
