Construction Carpenter - Concrete Finisher
A carpenter constructs, erects, installs, and repairs built-in place or prefabricated forms made from a variety of materials according to specifications for concrete structures. A carpenter studies blueprints and diagrams to determine type and dimension of forms to be constructed, inserts spreaders and tie rods between opposite faces of form to maintain specific dimensions and anchors and braces forms to fixed objects.
- Ability to understand directions and read/interpret blueprints.
- Ability to solve mathematical problems quickly and accurately.
- Ability to properly care for and use tools of the trade.
- Thorough understanding of carpentry principles and methods.
- Works well as part of a team.
- Demonstrate and maintain a strong focus on safety.
- Starting base wage: $33.85/hour plus fringe.
- Company pays 100% of a single policy for health insurance.
