Position: Carpenter’s Assistant

Experience: 0-4 years full time.

• - Requires some heavy lifting and working on ladders and staging.
• - A carpenter's assistant/laborer is an entry level craftsman with minimal skill and experience level, able to perform basic carpentry tasks.
• - Basic knowledge of residential construction and remodeling trades, practices, procedures, techniques, tools and equipment, and materials.
• - Mathematical skills and analytical skills necessary to take and compute
• measurements.
• - Nautilus will train all carpenter’s assistants how to work safe, set up job equipment, and learn how to use all tools
• - Able to work with and take direction from carpenters and lead carpenters to gain experience and knowledge including: Job setup & temp protection, jobsite cleaning, demo, framing, light drywall work, window and door installation, exterior trim and siding, interior doors, finish work.

Minimal ability to:

Organize assigned tasks, for completion alone or with help.

• - Perform tasks on all areas and aspects of construction projects.
• - Climb ladders and work at heights safely and efficiently.
• - Work with tools, lumber and materials.
• - Good attitude- Able to take direction. Work alone or with a crew.
• - Own basic tools. Including tool belt, hammer, tape and speed square.
• - Lift and manipulate objects of up to 80 lbs for 50 feet is required.
• - Complete and fulfill paperwork required for personal time sheets.
• - Clean equipment, shop area, and work site area.
• - Able to pass pre employment drug & physical test.
• - Own transportation with valid license.
• - Clean appearance- Customer service oriented

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
