- A carpenter constructs, erects, installs, and repairs built-in place or prefabricated forms made from a variety of materials according to specifications for concrete structures. A carpenter studies blueprints and diagrams to determine type and dimension of forms to be constructed, inserts spreaders and tie rods between opposite faces of form to maintain specific dimensions and anchors and braces forms to fixed objects.
- Requirements: Successful completion of vocational school or technical college or apprenticeship program; OR at least three years of previous carpenter experience.
- Starting base wage: $30.60/hour plus fringe.
