JOB DESCRIPTION

Iowa Auto Exchange is seeking a skilled automotive technician to join our team. This position will work on all types of vehicles from new to used. We have a great reputation for our work and we are looking for someone to continue that work ethic.

JOB TYPE
Full-time or Part-time
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Diagnose and repair vehicle engines, transmissions, electrical systems, suspension, braking, etc.
• Perform vehicle maintenance procedures (including cleaning the vehicle) according to company guidelines and customer specifications.
• Provide estimates for additional services or repairs to customers.
• Keep work area clean and organized (with the supervision of Service Manager).
• Communicate with Service Manager regarding any problems or issues that may arise from the work being performed.
• Follow all safety regulations and policies including use of protective equipment such as safety glasses, gloves, and face shield.
• Participate in training programs in order to keep our skills up to date.
• Other duties as assigned by Service Manager.

• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to use hand tools (hammer, saw, etc.)and other equipment (hammer-press, drill press, etc.)to perform job functions.
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.)and stand for long periods of time in a confined space.
