Our team in Aircraft Group is looking for an Aerospace Masker on 1st shift (6:00am-2:30pm) to join them. You will report to the Wet Processing Supervisor and will have an onsite work schedule in Torrance, CA.

To be considered for the Masker, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • 1 year or more of industry masking experience supporting processing, including tape and liquid masking techniques
  • Blueprint and/or sketch sheet reading
  • FAA Safety Sensitive position; must meet FAA's drug and alcohol testing program requirements
  • Masking experience in the aerospace industry preferred
  • 3 or more years of industry masking experience preferred

As a Masker, you will:

  • Interpret blueprints, work instructions, both written and verbal instructions, to determine the most effective procedures for masking various products.
  • Use masking tape, paint, various types of wax and protective devices to selectively mask off certain sections of parts and/or units that are to be painted or plated. Use various hand tools such as: punches, scissors, brushes, knives or razor blades to cut and remove tape.
  • Remove tape, wax, paint and other protective coatings after selective painting or plating process has been completed.
  • Touch up paint on damaged parts using a brush.
  • Adhere to all Processing specifications necessary to achieve blueprint requirements and quality of the hardware.
  • Demonstrate excellent safety practices and habits to assure all rules are obeyed and implemented. Keep work area clean
  • Read, interpret and follow technical instructions in English

Salary Range:

California Residents: Pay range for this opportunity is $22.05 - $23.00 per hour

This position requires access to United States Export Controlled information.
