River Edge is looking to fill the position of Administrative Support Specialist with/at our Community Mental Health Center (CMHC).

In this role you will be:
Coordinating the care of Medicaid/Medicare insured individuals served at River Edge and in area primary care practices, as well as uninsured individuals served at River Edge and in area FQHCs. The Administrative Support Specialist also provides administrative/clerical support to the Project Director and to the clinical staff.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support related to access to care expansion: front desk and phone coverage, checking individuals into care, performing eligibility verifications and provider assignments, preparing documents
- Coordinates/conducts all clerical work for the program, including client letters/proof of residence, client spreadsheets, staff schedules, chore lists, client insurance, and client billing issues.
- Completes intake/admission legal forms for new admissions, in both paper and electronic formats
- Perform data entry of collected CMHC data into SPARS
- Responsible for collecting and reporting data in the SAMHSA SPARS system
- Responsible for developing basic spreadsheet(s)
- Serves as a liaison between patient/family/provider.
- Fully Covid vaccinated
- HS diploma/GED; Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
- Must be 21 years of age
- 2 years of experience working in a medical office setting
- Proficiency in MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook required
